Tidbits of Information

I have had some requests for information regarding my latest flower photos..

The black background!

Yes, it is a black background and hold onto your hats because it is pretty high tech. It is a Chicago White Sox tee shirt turned inside out and stretched over either my small painting easel or a cereal box. I know, I know...HIGH TECH!!!

For the flowers, I took a twist tie and removed the paper. I insert the twist tie wire into the flower stem and the whole thing is held up by a pair locking pliers. The wire lets me change the position of the flower without having to finagle the whole set up. Even MORE high tech!!!

The ~studio~ is placed on my kitchen table so I can get maximum light from my sliding glass door. I adjust the exposure to make the background a bit darker and voila...the photos.

I think that answers the questions but if you have any more, feel free to ask away. I'm not shy about divulging my technical secrets.
